During the long-term field test of the SERPIC prototype in autumn 2023, a lot of water, soil and plant samples were collected and frozen for storage. The water samples had already been analysed. In July 2024, a joint action of University Castilla la Mancha (UCLM) and Stellenbosch University started to analyse the remaining soil and plant samples. At UCLM in Ciudad Real, the samples have been prepared and extracted. Subsequently, the extracts are now analysed for the content of CECs at Stellenbosch University by liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS).
