The sixth General Assembly GA6 was successfully held in Ferrara, Italy, hosted by the University of Ferrara (UNIFE), at 6th of June, 2024. The main focus was put to plan the exploitation of the project results. The consortium discussed the findings of many interviews and workshops that were made with selected stakeholders in the weeks before the assembly. Based on the feedback and the demands of wastewater treatment plant providers, water providers and municipalities, the consortium started a first summary assessment of the interim results, considering also the results of other ongoing research projects of the AquaticPollutants program.

The exploitation plan, that was already drafted as deliverable report D4.1 in January 2024 (see Results), was updated, including upcoming dissemination activities. Amongst others, a joint presentation with the other AquaticPollutants projects on treatment technologies is foreseen, integrated as a special session within the World Water Week 2024 at 28.8.2024. Furthermore, first ideas for follow-up projects were collected.

At the following day, the participants went to Rimini to visit the wastewater treatment plant. It is equipped with a newly installed membrane bioreactor (MBR) to reduce the suspended solids from the wastewater stream.
